Effective prioritisation is about:

                    -
your attitude towards change and development
                    -how you make decisions
-what leadership style you prefer to adopt
-how you sell ideas to others
                    -how you influence others
-your emphasis on being professional and objective
-how results oriented or socially oriented you are etc.

PRISM is a quick, simple and interactive interview method to be used in counselling, development, or for recruitment puposes. It will make it easier for the interviewer to understand a person´s behavioural patterns and motivational factors at work.
PRISM can also indicate possible development areas for the individual, considering the work demands in his/her position.

Prism Professional is:

-Effective in assisting organisations to gain an understanding of an individual employee´s
work behaviour, motivation and development needs.

-Accurate as a diagnostic tool for understanding how professionals and managers focus
their attention and energy in problem solving, influencing situations and achieving results.

-Simple to use and administer, providing computer supported scoring and
comprehensive interpretation support from Prisma Metod AB, when needed.

Prism Professional is a self perception analysis.

The work-related, forced choice questionnaire is competency based, relating to professional demands and personal objectives. The scores of the PRISM profile reveal how professionals and managers handle important tasks and what they seek to achieve.

The 24 factors in PRISM are partly personal objectives (needs), describing motivational grounds, partly roles describing adjustment to work demands. Some examples of items :

                    a) I set clear objectives for other people in the group               (role)

                    b) I rarely hesitate in deciding the best course of action            (role)

                    a) I like acknowledgement when I do a good job                    (need)

                    b) I want to be good friends with people I work with              (need)

It takes 20 - 30 minutes to complete the qestionnaire. The results are interpreted and discussed through a dialogue between the interviewer and the interviewee.

The purpose of the feedback discussion is to identify and interpret the individual's behavioural patterns at work, and to increase the person's self-awareness when discussing relevant development areas, in relation to the job requirements.

It is at this level that PRISM takes effect, i e give insight into a person's attitudes and values in the work situation.
